About me
I am an experienced learning facilitator, school leader and classroom teacher. I bring a passion and commitment to building on the strengths and expertise in schools to progress positive, sustainable change linked to local improvement plans and needs of educators and students. My deep knowledge of education has been gained over 25 years in the sector. I have worked at leading universities in Melbourne in Teacher Education, lecturing in Language and Literacy Education; Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment; and Educational Leadership. I’ve worked in Museums and Galleries as a learning facilitator, and in the not-for-profit arts education sector developing high-quality digital learning modules. I’ve also held a variety of leadership roles in schools including:
Leading and managing the design and implementation of a curriculum model for Year 7 and 8 students;
Leading the co-design of a whole school Inquiry Learning Model;
English/EAL Learning Domain Leader; and
Middle Years Literacy Improvement Coach (MYLNS).
We are learning, always. My strength is that I know how to effectively implement contemporary educational ideas and evidence-based research within school environments with the goal of inspiring learning for everyone.
I have a deep respect for the people, schools and organisations I work with and bring an open, curious and empathic approach to the work I do.
